Cory Laxen

Bio

Coach Cory Laxen is in his 15th year of Coaching and beginning his 3rd year at CE King. Prior to coming to CE King, Coach Laxen spent 10 years at Galena Park North Shore where he was apart of 4 State Championships, 2015, 2018, 2019 & 2021 as the Offensive Line Coach and Strength & Conditioning Coordinator, under Coach Jon Kay. Coach Laxen has helped over 40 offensive linemen earn scholarships to play at the next level. Some recognizable names such as Damieon George (Florida), Jaeden Roberts (Alabama), Najee Toran (UCLA), Trevon Tate (Memphis), Demarcus Thomas (McNeese State), James Taylor (Pitt State), Daniel Hernandez (UNLV), Anthony Phillips (Texas Southern) & Anthony Bates Jr. (Texas A&M Kingsville) are just a few that have been coached under Coach Laxen.

Coach Laxen attended Rice University where he lettered in Football all 4 years and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology. In 2014 Coach Laxen earned his Masters in Education Administration from Lamar University.

Coach Laxen has a son, Brayden (15) and a daughter, Bailey (14).
