Derek Williams

Bio

Derek Williams has been coachingand Teaching for over 23 years. He is currently in his 5th year at Null Middle School and has been athletic coordinator at Null Middle School for the past 3 years. Coach Williams has been a head boys' basketball and football coach at the high school level in the Austin, west area and Houston area for the past 20 years. He has 2 state championships as a player from Bartlett Texas where they were known as the team of the decade. He went to school at Tabor College in Kansas with a Bachelor in Sociology and minor business. Also, during his coaching career he has counseled troubled teens and has traveled the country coaching in and outside the United States. Coach Williams has been a leader among men since high and through college , and at the twilight career here at Null Middle School.

Coach Williams has been married to Nicole Williams for 30 years. They have two children Derek Jr. (19) attending Nelson University and Shellbye (14).
