Bio
Robert Pettit is a dedicated and accomplished coach and educator with over 12 years of experience in developing athletes and students both on and off the field. Currently serving at C.E. King 9th Grade Center in Houston, Texas, Robert is currently coaching wide receivers and defensive backs, while also fulfilling roles as the 9th-grade offensive coordinator and assistant baseball coach. His passion for strategic game planning, athlete performance development, and leadership has contributed to the success of numerous athletes, helping multiple players advance to the next level.
Prior to joining C.E. King, Robert served in various leadership roles, including Offensive Coordinator at Hardin High School, Run Game Coordinator at Putnam City West High School, and Co-Offensive Coordinator/Special Teams Coordinator for the OKC Lady Force football team in the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA). His coaching expertise extends beyond football, having been a Head Track Coach and Head Throws Coach at multiple schools, helping student-athletes excel in both speed and strength disciplines.
A graduate of Hardin-Simmons University with a degree in History, Robert furthered his education by earning a Master of Science in Wellness Management: Exercise Science from the University of Central Oklahoma. His coaching journey spans multiple levels, from middle school athletics to professional women’s football, where he was recognized as an All-American coach for the WFA. In 2013, he played a key role in winning a championship as a coach at Tarleton State University, further solidifying his reputation for excellence in player development and team success.
Beyond his professional achievements, Robert is a devoted husband to Misty Pettit and a proud father to three sons—Keagan (12), Zane (10), and Granger (6). His leadership extends beyond the field, shaping young athletes while fostering a strong and supportive family environment
