Rubern Amaya

Bio

Coach Amaya is in his 11th year of coaching. This is his 3rd year at CE King.

Prior to coming to CE King, Coach Amaya spent 5 years at Galena Park North Shore where he was a part of 3 State Championships: 2018, 2019 & 2021. He coached Offensive Line with Coach Laxen for 4 years and coached Varsity Inside Receivers for one year, all under Head Coach Jon Kay. Coach Amaya also coached Offensive Line at Fort Bend Hightower HS for 2 years, winning one District Championship. His first year of coaching was at Troy HS where he coached Outside Linebackers.

Coach Amaya has coached numerous individuals who have pursued football at the college level, as well as players who have been drafted into the National Football League.

Coach Amaya attended Texas A&M University where he graduated in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics with a minor in physics.
