Walter Moreham

Bio

Walter Moreham is in his sixth year at CE King High School coaching the defensive line. Moreham came to King after serving as an assistant coach in charge of the defensive line on head coach Michael Haywood's staff at Texas Southern University in 2018. A three-year letterman at LSU, Walter was the team’s Special Teams Player of the Year in 2001 and played in three bowl games for the Tigers. Moreham stayed at LSU to start his coaching career as a graduate assistant, spending two seasons in that capacity with the Tigers winning the 2003 national title while he helped coach linebackers, defensive backs and special teams. Walter spent a year working as a linebackers/scouting intern with the NFL's Houston Texans before entering the high school ranks. He served as defensive coordinator at two of three stops in the Houston area during a five-year span before going to Navarro College in 2011. He helped the Bulldogs win the conference championship and finish fifth in the final rankings with a 10-2 record. Moreham then coached at the University of Central Oklahoma for 5 seasons where his d-line unit was consistently ranked in the top three in rush and pass defense.
His football career has been supported by his wife, Jennifer, and three children, Victoria, Cameran and Casyn.
